congratulations
Whether they come in the shape of critical spouses, ungrateful employers, backstabbing friends, or even neighbors who just won't leave us alone, most of us have vampires that feed on us, but no clear plan for getting them off our necks. Practical vampire slaying is about learning how to recognize these bloodsuckers and decide what we want to do about them. And then we can whittle the stake that works, whether or not we choose to use it.
"Biting Back takes a compelling look at self-care, setting boundaries, and protecting ourselves from friends, loved ones, enemies, and sometimes even ourselves. Written in a page-turning and warm style, Claudia’s refreshing addition to the self-help shelves offers empowering solutions to effectively remind us to stop inviting troubleinto our homes and souls." -- MELODY BEATTIE, NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLING AUTHOR OF CODEPENDENT NO MORE

Thanks for your comment!
What a wonderful and sweet way to celebrate Jennifer's new book! The balloons are an especially nice touch :)
Thanks Michelle! Great to see you here, too!
Awwwww, heck. Throughout this whole thing I've been very professional, very "together" and now this photo...which just reduces me to sobbing great, big, gloppy tears. Tears of happiness, tears of joy.
You guys are THE BEST. Thank you!
It was Sarah who said we should send you something or do something which is IMPOSSIBLE because nobody knows where you are, and it was Phyllis who thought of the picture, and it was everybody else who showed up, and it was me who REALLY wanted to say in my review of your book:
In her beautiful ROADMAP TO HOLLAND, Ms. Graf-Groneberg really writes her ass off!
Man did you ever. That's WRITING, sister!
love love love from all of us, Jen!!!!!
Uh, I think I was supposed to be in the top picture! Weren't we the lucky ones to have been with Jennifer for some of the journey of Roadmap to Holland??
Ha -- Angela!
And yes, we're a lucky group all right!
When I left the photo shoot, I felt so happy and to be on a deck full of people who were totally connected by the joy of Jennifer's success and what it meant. Like Claud said, she wrote her ass off. And wow, who knew it could be this great? In my low moments, I only have to look at this photo to get completely turned around again. I just love you guys!
What a lovely tribute.
